時を経て出土した鉱石や、古代ガラスのような独特の表情を持つ熊谷さんのガラス作品。鋳造をもちいて制作されます。
原型にガラス、土、金属などを詰めて高温で溶かし鋳込むことにより、ガラスが土や金属と反応しその表情を作り出しています。新しくも時間の経過を感じる作品たちをじっくりと味わって頂ければと思います。

The glass articles which Mr. Kumagai created have inimitable faces almost look like an ancient glass.
His glasses are formed by casting.By putting materials which are glasses, sands, alloys, and so on into the original mold, and been heated at high temperature, sands and alloys will effect on glasses and this reaction makes inimitable faces on glasses.
Hope you will enjoy Mr. Kumagai’s glass articles which are brand new but also we can feel time progress.
