やきもの屋として、土を焼く仕事を近年徹底して行ってきました。
形はやきものとして作品をみてもらう為 年々シンプルになり
自分の主張を極限まで取り除き作品を生み出しています。
今年は、薪窯で焼成したまるい大小の陶板を駆使し
wad+では構成の立体作品をご覧になっていただきます。
隣接するビルの3階wad collection room では
一枚一枚が皿やオブジェとして成立しているピースの陶板を販売いたします。
やきものとしてクオリティーの高い仕事と、
立体構成の作品を見ていただく貴重な展示となります。

Obana has set his focal point thoroughly on just “firing clay” as a potter.
He limited his own creative expressions on shaping clays in order for pieces to be as simple as possible.
From his experience of creating ceramic pieces of round and curvy shapes commonly found in daily uses or at exhibitions,
his challenge this year is to create compositions of stereoscopic pieces by using his various rounded clay boards fired in firewood kiln.
We will be also selling each of those rounded boards in wad collection room.
It is sincerely our honor to hold his exhibition here at wad, and we hope you
enjoy Mr. Obana’s high quality ceramic creations and his new compositions.
