初めての個展で見ていただいた松葉さんの作品は小さな小壺でした。
昨年は穴窯を築窯され、炭窯で制作された須恵器や焼き締め、
瑠璃や白磁に至るまで松葉さんの大小様々な作品たちをご覧いただきました。

そして今、松葉さんは大きな変貌期を迎えられているように思います。
変化の前兆のようなものを彼と話をしていて感じました。

The very first piece of Mr. Matsuba exhibited here at wad was one small jar.

He then built new cave kiln last year while working on firing pieces in charcoal kiln. There were various pieces of sueki (sue wares), yakishime (high-fired unglazed wares), blue-glazed wares and white porcelains fired in charcoal kiln in his exhibition last year at wad.

When I talk to him, I can clearly feel that he is about to step into another stage as a potter. We’d love to present his ceramic pieces that are true to his life, and hope you witness his sincere demeanor towards pottery through his art pieces.
