台湾で作陶されている陶芸家ピータークオさんの個展を開催します。陶磁器の街”鶯歌”で産まれ育ち、小さな頃から焼物に触れて育ちました。
現在は仕事場を桃園に移し、薪窯での作品制作に取り組んでいます。台湾茶の茶壺を始め様々な作品をご覧いただけると思います。個展初日の2日間は彼の茶の師匠である游老師を台湾より御招きして貴重な台湾茶会を開いて頂きます。
当ギャラリーでは海外の作家は初めての展示になります。是非足をお運びいただきたいと思います。

1983年　台湾のやきものの町鶯歌に生まれる
2000年　新北市復興商工職業学校(Fu-Hsin Trade&Arts School)美工科彫塑組卒業
　　　　　卒業美術展彫塑組全校主席
2003年　旭珂流璃にて色ガラスを学ぶ
2006年　大謙陶芸工房設立
2008年　簡銘炤氏に師事し薪窯の技術を学ぶ
2012年　大謙堂薪窯を造る

Peter Kuo Solo Exhibition

Taiwanese tea ceremony:  July 13th and 14th


wad+ is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Taiwanese potter Peter Kuo. Born in Yingge district, the centre of Taiwan’s ceramics industry, Peter Kuo grew up surrounded by a world of ceramic art. He subsequently moved to Taoyuan, where he began creating his pieces using a wood-fired kiln. 


In this exhibition we focus on Peter Kuo’s teapots and teacups for Taiwanese tea, alongside a selection of his other works.
On July 13th and 14th we will host a Taiwanese tea ceremony conducted by Kuo’s tea master, Serina  Yu.


This is the first time that wad+ will hold an exhibition by an overseas ceramist, and I hope you will come and see Peter Kuo’s latest works.
